Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by CompuLabTech LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Services Provided

CompuLabTech provides the following services:

  • Computer repair and maintenance (PC and Mac)
  • Remote technical support
  • On-site IT services
  • Network setup and troubleshooting
  • Security system installation (cameras, smart locks)
  • Business IT support and managed services
  • AI consulting and training
  • Custom website and application development

Service Appointments

When scheduling services with CompuLabTech:

  • Appointments are scheduled based on mutual availability
  • We offer flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends when available
  • Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance
  • Repeated no-shows may result in requiring prepayment for future services

Remote Support Authorization

By requesting remote support services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You authorize CompuLabTech to remotely access your computer or device
  • You have the legal right to grant such access to the device
  • Files, applications, and system settings may be visible during the session
  • You may terminate the remote session at any time
  • A separate Remote Access Consent Form may be required before service begins

Payment Terms

Payment policies for our services:

  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed
  • We accept cash, credit cards, and electronic payments
  • Estimates are provided before major repairs or projects
  • Monthly support plans are billed in advance
  • Custom development projects may require deposits

Warranties and Guarantees

Our service warranties:

  • Labor warranty: 30 days on repairs for the same issue
  • Parts warranty: Varies by manufacturer (typically 1 year)
  • Software fixes: No guarantee against future infections or issues caused by user actions
  • Remote support: Full refund if we cannot provide the requested service

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • CompuLabTech is not liable for data loss - customers are responsible for maintaining backups
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing hardware failures discovered during service
  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party software or hardware

Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about issues and device history
  • Back up important data before any service appointment
  • Provide necessary passwords and access credentials when required
  • Ensure you have legal rights to request service on the device
  • Maintain a safe working environment for on-site visits

Intellectual Property

Regarding custom development work:

  • Custom websites and applications become client property upon full payment
  • CompuLabTech retains the right to use generic code and frameworks
  • Third-party software and licenses remain subject to their respective terms
  • CompuLabTech may showcase completed projects in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed

Confidentiality

We treat all customer information as confidential. We will not share, sell, or disclose your personal or business information to third parties except as required by law or as necessary to provide our services.

Termination

Either party may terminate the service relationship:

  • Monthly support plans may be cancelled with 30 days written notice
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason
  • Outstanding balances remain due upon termination

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the laws of the State of New York, with venue in Suffolk County.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
